Integrative Counselling for Children and Families
Tracey Derrick
My name is Tracey, and I am an Integrative Counsellor. I have over twenty years of experience working with children and families, including working with family conflict, bereavement (grief), emotional and behavioural difficulties, adverse childhood experiences and complex trauma.
I also have experience working with neurological conditions, such as autism spectrum disorders and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). More recently, I have worked supporting family contact within the local authority, along with providing therapy at Relate Coventry and Warwickshire.
Recognising the complexity and diversity of human experiences, I believe in adopting an integrative approach to counselling. This approach allows me to draw upon various therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioural therapy, play therapy, family systems theory, and mindfulness techniques.
By tailoring interventions to meet your needs, I aim to create a safe and supportive space for healing and growth.
I am registered with BACP and work within the BACP Ethical Framework. My qualifications include a BA in Counselling and Working with children and families.
I am currently studying for my MSc in Integrative Counselling at Northampton University.
